reports are that no resorts are allowing vehicle traffic up on the big lake. i have a friend, yea i got one, up there now out of aresons. said there pulling all the mats off the cracks and movingthere permy houses closer to shore. ATV and snowmobiles still welcome!

   Glenn, does your friend have access to info on the Warroad public access?  I had planned on hitting the lake Fri. am. and am getting really nervous.  If so you could save me 4hrs of driving one way.  Right now I am still planning on giving it a go.  My last chance at pulling the plug will be Friday Am. about 3am.

she's going out of arensons resort.she told me yesterday that the only road on the lake still open was bablers? that was yesterday!!!!!!!!!! IF  ya got a sled or ATV you should be ok.

i just got a e-mail from a police officer friend from deer river mn, said he was out the last 2 days on pogegama with ATV's with 18 inches of ice. but said its hard to say what the weekend will bring. hope this helps. i will text her later and ask her more specific questions for you.

OK, got the skinny for ya!!! i asked her how the lake was as far as getting on and if the shorelines where still good.

her rsponse was STILL GOOD..........JUst sloppy and wet going out..till a crack opens up  so the water can drain.............still 30 inches of ice!!!

   Thanks Glenn. I really appreciate the info.  I checked the Arnesens web cam too. The shoreline looks good there.  Still a go at this point.
