heard a story over the weekend that strikemaster was bought out by rapala and is clocing the big lake store!! hard to believe, anyone else with any scoop?????????

Yes it was sold to Rappala about a month ago.  They own a large building in Eden Praire so it's probably inevitable the Big Lake plant may be moved.  I doubt they will stop making the augers.
To be clear, I heard nothing of them moving from Big Lake. However, history says they will.

I did hear the other day that both the headquarters and the service department will be moved. not to mexico or anything like that. I was told where but I don't remember where he said. local in MN

All indications are it's gone from Big Lake.  I passed by yesterday and noticed two things.  The Strikemaster sign is covered and there were no cars in the lot.  Not a good sign.  Also, I read in a local paper that the sales and maintence for Strikemaster was taken over by a small shop right next door to the old Strikemaster plant.  (I used the term "old" but have no proof they are gone.
