Thought it would be cool to see/hear about who influenced us in the outdoor activities..

This is who did it for me, my grandpa..  This picture is on Lake Minnetonka, guessing late 40s, catching slabs with a bottle of whisky by his side, loved his whisky!

Love that photo. Wow ice fishing sure has changed, well except the whiskey.

No clue what make that car is, hard to see but has chains on the rear tires... The good ol days of no electronics, a spud bar to chop holes, pounding fish like no tomorrow, with the nectar of the gods close by  :toast:   To this day I fish spots on Tonka that he took me to... Trying to track down some of the hunting stuff he had, my uncles have some of it, couple of old 8 guage shotguns I would love to have handed down..

 :happy1: I Would have to say my Dad was my influenced as i remember we would go fishing and I would just be put my line out and I said Dad i think I got one. My Dad would reply back you just let your line out you can't have one on, But I would pull my line in and yes i would always have a fish on. He would shake his head as he could not believe it, We would go trout fishing all the time,

I remember one time with my grandpa, He came for a visit, I got up and made him  :coffee: and we walk up to the lake and sit on the shore and caught bullhead all day, That was so fun I miss day like that, I wish i had some photos.
                                It just go to show us how time go so fast so we have to make the best of them, Thank for sharing.
                     ::welcome:: to the MNO  :happy1:

I have two my father and my Grandpa both great men and both great fishermen I learned a lot from them about fishing and life in general  :happy1:
Hunting is not life and death. It is more important than that.
