i went out on a small lake N of brainerd for crappies last sunday. we kept about 20 crappies in 3 hours and releasing a bunch of small ones. we were in about 15 FOW on a weed edge. we were using a plain jig and fat head minnow. they were pretty agressive but only while it was falling. went back out on wednesday and only caught a handful of small ones. it was windy and cloudy though and we got out a little late.

heard similar reports from family on other area lakes. thinking the high water in the area this year and last helped reproduction. im headed back on the 27th to finish the brassica plots and catch a few fish.

anyone else had any luck>?
