i'm not sure what they're charging you.. but if you call the  taystee surplus stores they generally will let you buy the expired.. used to be able to fill up the back of the pick up with day old bread and cupcakes for around 20$... used to tip the lady's good at the store so I would get first dibs. the one I used to use was on a few blocks north of rice and 36... I know there's one on 10 in anoka and another in maplewood... call ahead.. or if you stop in say "I called about some day old stuff for bait".  loafs of bread covered in old fryer greeeese is good eatin.. if your a bear
If science fiction has taught me anything, it's that you can never have enough guns and ammo when the zombies come back to life... "WS"

I've bought there a time or two and found his prices reasonable.  I can get many items cheaper, but by the time I figure all the misery and trouble and gas money, I save nothing.  It's like a trip to Walmart for Bear hunters!  I definetly recommend the trip...and he has stuff that keeps without refrigeration, which was a huge plus for me.

Bears loved the after diner mints and cherry pie filling.  Didn't like the pinapple pie filling.  bring a barrel.  One stop shopping. :happy1: :happy1:
