never trapped before looking to start in january, any tips  or good video links would be great, best lures? scents? or best way to keep traps from freezing  thanks

The best thing for yotes in January are snares.   If you're going to do footholds that's a whole different ball game.   Hay sets will be a great winter set for dogs.   Lots of wax paper!   Bed your trap over wax paper with a wax paper pan cover.   LDC lures will shine in winter paired up with urine.   Good luck and keep us posted.
