I debated whether to go to Florida or go ice fishing.  Of course I chose ice fishing and had a great week.  Fishing sucked!!  When it's 10- and it goes to 25- is that a cold front? :rotflmao:   I fished several lakes with the same result.  Fish's mood is NEGATIVE!!  Most anglers stayed in because I was alone on most lakes I hit.  It was so cold one night that the propane almost quit flowing in the perm.  There must be a critical temp because by the next afternoon it was fine.  I caught some nice fish but had to work hard for everyone of them.  The only solid hit I got was when I was packing up the ice house for the last time.  I was fishing walleyes and had only one bite that evening.  I left the line down when I was packing up the car.  Yep, you guessed it.  I managed to save the rod but the fish was lost. :banghead: :banghead:

I was in Outing most of the time.  I hit Ely, and Walker also.  I was able to mark fish everywhere but Ely.  I caught a couple of 30"+ pike.  Other than that it was small stuff that took way too much effort.  I hope we get a Feb warm up that might turn the panfish on.
