great morning with my daughter

We hit the ice early this morning and it payed off.  My daughter iced this big pike before I had all 4 of our holes drilled.  Tipup fishing has become her favorite way to fish.  We brought home 3 fish out of the 8 we caught and the whole family had their fill with only about 1/2 pound of filets left.  Left overs, yum yum.

So much fun that her twin brother her woke me up this morning at 6 bells to go out again.  Gotta love the effort.  We only caught a 3 and 5 pounder, so it was a little slower.  The freezing rain kept freezing the flag shaft to the spinner on the top.  We had 3 minnows pulled off the hook without the flag going up.  They now want to skip school tommorrow and fish.  Oh the dilemma.
