i have never hunted geese before. I have read articles and watched videos but i still have questions. I understand decoy spreads and the blinds. but i don't understand what people talk about when they say early, mid, or late season. how do tactics change as the season progresses? or what to look for when scouting fields? if i understand correctly. camo blinds, hide in them, wait for a flock of geese to be heard or seen. call them in. when they get in range. pop out and shoot em.

Thanks

Where do you plan to hunt? field or water? Do you have dekes? Can you use a call? What part of the state do you plan to hunt? Just a few things to consider.

Well your in a great area (your a lucky dog),I broke my teeth in hunting near the roseau refuge, back in the 70's we only had a 10day canada goose season, today the #'s are over whelming,do you know farmers in the area? if so,you'll have it made, nothin better than setting up in a cut grain field. Its best to find a field they are feeding in,being close to the refuge will make it alot easier if your field is big enough and away from the public land sky busters, sometimes you might need to travel a few miles from the refuge to get in on a good shoot, birds coming off the refuge get educated quick once they are shot at and travel further out to feed.

Just a few thoughts.
