Last night was the start of the Westminster. I usually don't pay alot of attention the first night becuse the sporting breeds and the final is the second night, but last night they had a represenitive from Pedigree(dog food) they are doing a fundraiser to raise money for the humane shelters to help place dogs in new homes. If you are intrested all you have to do is log in to www.pedigree.com make a donation and pedigree will match dollar for dollar.
Stay tuned tonight to see how the sporting breed does.
(  I always route for the chessie )

I have to say this is the first year I have ever watched more than about 1 minute of the dog show. I happened to turn it on when they were showing the sporting breeds it was actually sort of neat. I have to admit I just wanted to see the Vizsla but learned a little about some other breeds as well. Turns out the Vizsla took second it was a beautiful dog.

They had a real nice Chesapeake as well. That is a breed I have always liked. A friend of mine has always been a Chesapeake guy. He recently had to put one of his down and this was a few months after his other was put down. Both lived long good lives. He now has 2 pups a few months old, Both great dogs.

How would you like to take that Springers coat out into a briar patch? My golden with his hunting cut is bad enough!

I can't even imagine.. That is one of the reasons I love my Vizsla. I just have to deal with him being cut up all the time instead.

It was really cool in the sporting breeds that the Vizula and the weimeriener was second and 3rd. Both of those dogs were beautiful. As for the final the springer took best in show. Those hunting dogs are at the top this year ;D
