this is often overlooked here in minnesota. how many of you have or make a watering hole near your food plots/ bedding areas? this year we did and so far its proving to be a good idea. we have tons of water nearby BUT, not close to the plots or bedding areas we hunt. its a good 1/2 mile to a water source. thats a good hike for the deer between eating and getting water. now, they can do all thier buisness right in this little chunk of woods. were hoping it allows them more time near the stands rather than 1/2+ mi away getting a drink. key is to keep a steady flow weather a small trickle or just flushing it once a day. we're using 40 gal garden pond liners.
