Things are slow in my area, actually with the hot weather I'm not into hunting just yet but went thru the motions twice this season so far,I field hunt the northeast metro area, have adandy cut oats field this year where sandhills and a handful of honkers were hangin out the last two weeks, could'nt hunt the "x" because it put us within 100yds of a treeline and neighbors house, the birds wanted to come in but landed 150yds from our dekes, the land I hunt (280 acres)has a small 60acre lake and a small pond that I leave alone for the birds roost/rest on,that way they hang around until freeze-up,well after saturdays youth hunt alot of the local birds found my refuge,I must of seen a few 100 woodies and a few dozen teal @day break yesterday mornin that were'nt present last weekend, say what you want but the youth hunt pushes the local waterfowl population out of the area that is hunted, good for me bad for others... ;)

Not many mallards around this year, hopefully that will change as the season progresses.

Thats all I have so far~more to come as we move forward.

I haven't seen birds around the west metro yet, so I didn't even buy my license yet
