Any tips to trapping him? TRied last year with no success. Gonna try when season opens. Any pointers? He getting into the pheasant over night holding pen and kills whatever is in there from one to 10 birds. He even gets into the holding crates.

Make wooden box tunnels just wide enough for a 110 conibear with a slot u can slide the conibear down into at the front, open both ends,  soak them in a slough or creek for a week to get the odor out.  Cut up a couple fresh killed mice and put in the inside (legal as no exposed bait) or just Mink lure...will catch weasels that way also.

You sure its a mink
a weasel kills just for the sake of killing and to drink blood
if there not eaten up i'd say weasel

It's a mink, had one this spring take out my chickens and a couple of ducks. Just tore the throats out and left the rest laying there.

Do I need to wear latex gloves and use scent killer spray on trap? It's a mink. I've seen him. Example the other day 6 roosters in the holding pen over night. Next morning 4 of there necks tore out. 1 half eatten and 1 alive

Pm the griz. He is the trapping mod.
I don't think scent is a big issue.

Scent don't matter for mink. Was it just the throats or did they go a little deeper into the chest?
