I'm planning a trip to LOTW this winter.  I would like some input from you to see what you think is the best place to go through.  We would like to rent ice houses verses bringing our own up.
Price isn't a big deal, I just want to have a good time.

I have been going up every winter for the last few, and always went though Zippel Bay.  We go up in groups of 6-10 so we usually get a few houses.  We always are on the fish, unfortunately last year, it never got above 0, it was a horrible cold front.  So we only kept a few, but it was slow all over the place.
We are going up to WigWam this year.  I honestly don't think you can go wrong with any resort, they are all very accommodating and on the fish (since there is so many up there).
Earlier and later in the year the better, so if you can catch the first few weeks, usually early/late Dec. and then later in the year once it starts to warm up.  Jan and Feb are usually pretty slow up there, but you can still catch lots of fish.

Sportsmans usually has a band playing.  We usually go every year with a group of 4.  We have stayed at Riverbend and Sportsmans.  I'd say stay were you are a least within walking distance from the Sportsmans.

Our group used to go through Adrian's. Nice cabins and fish houses. Excellent service. Haven't been up there the last few years though but I'm sure they haven't changed.

Adrians will do ya good, most any resort will, but it also depends on what ur after, night life? go to the east side, lots to choose from, lots of resorts will cook ur fish with taters for a resonable fee. Arrnesons dose a great job, on the west side. adrians, wigwam, cyrus, sportsmans on the east. east side you cna skip from resort to resort an party, lots of fun, Zipple dose a great job an its a blast to rent a hole an fish outa the ice bar igloo an have a beer an a burger an go back to the sleeper. Cant pinpoint the best thier all good. its a flip of the coin.
