taxidermy classes

I have always had an interest in taxidermy. Dabbled a little when I was a teen. Now Im older and would like a place to learn taxidermy. Really would like to learn shoulder mounts and birds.
If anyone knows where a guy could learn please reply.

I had considered going to school for taxidermy too. When I was looking around I found a school in WI that seems to be the bee's knees. I have his DVDs and they are very informative. I haven't had a chance to give taxidermy a fair shake due too living conditions, but I feel that I could mount a deer head from his DVD. Looks like there on sale right now.

What kind of taxidermy are you looking to due? I know that I personally would like to due gameheads and maybe birds. I don't have any interest in fish. I know a few guys have said that I was crazy to consider doing taxidermy in MN and not do fish. Who knows, maybe AUGGIE will agree.

No schools in the South metro. Was hoping there was a taxidermist out there that might offer some how to instruction.

Northwest Iowa School of Taxidermy in Spirit Lake, IA
I instructed here years ago, and Tom Matuska, the owner of the school is one of the finest guys you will ever meet.
I would recommend his classes for anyone who wants to learn a basic knowledge of all phases of taxidermy. I think he still runs a nine week course.
