I would like to offer my compliments and congratulations, to the guy on the catchn forum, who is being so honest in making the effort to see that the auger is returned to it's rightful owner. Now that guy is being a real sportsman. His efforts should be commended. We see far too little of this kind of thing happening any more. Is there a local radio station near the lake where this auger was found? I know of 2 FL-18's that were recovered up here on LOW, just by it being announced on the Roseau radio station, that they had been lost. Let's hope we get to see lot's more efforts like this being made in the future. ;D DIRTBALL2 ;)

there used to be a day when acts like this werent commendable, they were a way of life.

I accidentaly left the tailgate down yesterday when I was on my way to town. I stopped to visit my brother for 20 minutes and when I went back out to the truck, I noticed the gate open >:(
I knew my new poulan chainsaw was sitting in the back in the case and it was not there now.

nowing full the first person who came along scored themselves a new chainsaw, I turned towards home anyway with the slight hopes it was just laying there on the road, but I knew better.

we made it most of the way home when I noticed a dark spot in the ditch.
could it be?
I swerved to the left and as I neared the the object, it became a chainsaw case,.....my chainsaw case, still closed!
no way. I jumped out and grabbed it and threw it in the back of the truck.
about time I had at least one thing went my way
take a kid hunting and fishing!!

Even a blind squirrel gets to find a nut once in awhile! ;D You definitely dodged a bullet on that one Sport! :o I'm fortunate in that I happen to know Crappie Magnet, the Catch-n member who found the auger and other ice fishing equipment. It doesn't surprise me at all that he reported the loss and is trying to find the rightful owner. Jeff is a class act all the way. The poor guy is sitting at home with a bad case of cellulitis and can't even get out ice fishing anymore this winter. That shouldn't have happened to a good guy like Jeff. ;D DIRTBALL2 ;)

All the same burky, you were the one that brought it to my attention. So as far as I'm concerned, we get to paint you with the same brush we used on Crappie Magnet! Way to go Fishing Dude! ;D DIRTBALL2 ;)
