What is the legal width you can have on a fish house / trailer...to go down the road?

I'm thinking 8 1/2 feet....

I looked at a fish house last night for sale, and the house it's self was 8 feet wide, and the tires where on the outside.

I have one of those too.  Technically you need a permit to drive it down the road.  The ticket is about the same as the permit.  I only drive mine a couple of miles to get it on the lake.  I believe overall width can be 8.5 ft. I think most of the trailer stay at 8ft.   All the bigger houses have recessed wheels.

Standard width is 100 inches. That is the 8 1/2 foot mark.

It's a REALLY nice house....

But, with the hubs and wheels...that sucker has to be almost 10 foot wide.

I got a torch...I'll make it work....  ;)
