I was just wondering if everyone has problems with thier digital cameras in the cold? Put brand new batteries in it and it's good for bout 3 pics. This is when it's 30 degrees out spose when it gets cold I wont get a single pic.

What kind of camera do you have?
I use a Kodak and so far no troubles (knock on wood).

get a package of lithium batteries!!
I used to go through sets of batteries like a new pair of socks it got dang expensive!
we picked up a pack of litium batteries at sams club. they werent cheap. I think we paid like twenty bucks for them, but they last!
I bought these before the IBOT fest this past summer and they are still gong strong. how much have you spent on batteries sinc last summer, plus how many pictures have you missed because the crapty ones failed on you, again!
I'll say it again, get a package of lithium batteries!!

 :-\  we use a canon pc 1150 digital that came with the computer, it has an internel battery with it,s own charger. i am guessing its about $200.00 ,but it seems to do the job in the heat and cold. ?

I have an Olympus D580, and I was having those problems. Duracell just came out with a new battery, called Duracell Power Pic, and so far I am liking these new batteries. Almost double the power of the standard Duracell Digital batteries. These new batteries are blue instead of the standard gold and black colors.
I do agree with Jigglestick, Lithium are the best, I just picked up the Duracell cause I was in a hurry, and I am not dissapointed.

Go to the rechargeables (The NiMH). They will save you alot in the long run. I had a Kodak DX6530  I now have the 8 megapixel Kodak(So far really like it) has all the bells and whistles and has its own rechargeable battery.
