Fishing continues to be hot. Anglers catching lots of slot and trophy walleyes with eaters and saugers mixed in. Good numbers of fish in front of Pine Island, Morris Point gap, Lighthouse gap, 4 Mile Bay and Zippel Bay.  With the ice out on Sunday eve, typically Long Point and Twin Rocks near Rocky Point will light up also.

Plenty of fish still in the river. Anchoring and jigging 4-17 feet has been effective. On the Rainy River, many anchoring and jigging just off ends of docks and closer to shore. Try 6-12 feet in river. Hot colors this week are gold, pink, pink/white, and white glow tipped with minnow or frozen shiner.

Up at the NW Angle, ice is out and fishing is awesome.  Fish are shallow.  Anglers targeting shoreline structure with some resorts catching fish off the docks.  Limits of walleyes with pike mixed in.  Jig and minnow.  For more info, www.LakeoftheWoodsMN.com
