How to get the best score for your fish.

We all know shooting a picture of your catch can sometimes be a challenge but just a few seconds can make the difference in your score.

A fish board is the recommend way of measuring your fish but a tape measure still works just fine.

Don't use an old rusty tape but for a few dollars you can buy one that the numbers can be clearly seen on.

The best pictures are taken from overhead looking straight down on your fish.

Take your picture as close as you can get leaving just a few inches in front of the nose and behind the tail.

Pictures taken at angles make it very hard to give you a good score.

Try and take two or three pictures and submit the best one. It only takes a second to snap a few extra pictures. We are not talking about reposing the fish or anything just snapping a couple of pictures one after the other. This might make the difference between the sun shinning on the tape or the fish moving.

Don't forget to frame your fish and get that quarter in the picture, take a breath and enjoy your catch. Judge Bobby Bass
