Fishing continues to be steady through the summer months. Drifting with spinners most common though good reports of mixed methods. From Long Point, the fields, Zippel Bay, and Graceton Beach try 22-28 feet. Morris Point, Pine Island, and Lighthouse Gap try 10-18 or 22-24 feet. Hot colors are hammered gold or silver tipped with crawler or minnow. Garden Island to Little Oak also doing well 8-10 feet.

On the Rainy River sturgeon anglers doing well in deep pockets. Keep 1 season open until September 30.

Up at the NW Angle, try jigging or drifting with spinners. 15-30 feet near Flag Island or Little Oak. Stay on reefs and island points for best bite. Muskie hunters doing well casting to weed beds. Still plenty of time to book your summer vacation, more information at www.LakeoftheWoodsMN.com/lodging.
