Another great vacation last week!!

    I got to spend a week fishing with my two son's and their significant others.  My oldest son got married on opening fishing of this year.  My youngest son brought his long time sweetheart.  All I can say is wow.  I am as proud of my son's as anyone could be.  The ladies were incredible. 

   The logging road to the resort was washed out.  A minor inconvenience to some.  To us it just added on 3 and 1/2 hours onto an already 8hr drive.  We were greeted by strong winds and rain.  On the third day I was losing any optimism that I had.  The rain finally stopped and we were able to go fishing.  The fish were biting.  We could not get out on the main lake until the end of the week due to the  wind but it didn't matter.  Those young men of mine and their women caught more fish in a couple of hours than many would catch in a lifetime.  By the end the girls were baiting their own hooks and taking off their own fish.  Mihn, my youngest son's jewel had a personal goal of dealing with pike on her own.  When she asked Andrew if she could take his pike off he gave me a puzzled look.  I gave him the secret father to son non-verbal heck yah look and she went at it.  She also took biggest walleye honors and made chocolate chip cookies everyday.  Rosemary, my new daughter in-law took most fish and second largest walleye honors.   I wish I had taken more pictures for posterity but I didn't dare even take the camera out for a lot of the trip.

Holy hot pink rain gear!  You could see her a mile away.  Sounds like a great time despite the wind and rain.
