Fishing continues to be steady this week as weather and water levels fluctuate. Drifting with spinners the go to method. Try Long Point, Zippel Bay, and the Graceton Reefs at 22-28 feet. Morris Point to Pine Island doing well in 12-18. Reports of trolling or casting cranks doing well shallow in areas 10' and less. Across the lake, reports good at Garden Island and Stony Point areas.  Jigs and spinners in 18-21'. Hammered gold or pink the hot colors tipped with crawlers or leeches.

On the Rainy River, fishing reports from 13-20 feet using minnows or crawlers. Sturgeon keep season open until September 30. Keep one 45-50" or over 75".

Up at the NW Angle, jigging and spinners working well in 15-30 near Oak, Flag, Little Oak, Crow Duck and Brush Islands. Stay near reefs and island points.  Fish the flats south of Crow Duck.  Bass still near boulder areas with northern pike also in the mix.  Info on lodging and guides at www.LakeoftheWoodsMN.com/lodging
