For those of you that use generators while fishing. Do you notice any difference on the amount of fish you catch while the generator is running.  The last few times that a guy started his generator up next to us the fish stopped biting. We moved and started catching fish again.

The Boogie Man may check his closet for John Wayne but John Wayne checks under his bed for Clint Eastwood

On red I have always put mine in the of my burb or expodition to keep it off the ice anyway possible thinking that it will deter fish biting. my first trip to red this winter, my cousin ran his on the ice and had a 100 fish day. Ive hear a theroy that as long as the sound is a constant that fish dont seem to care or it might aggitate them to bite. all kinds of theroys but prefer to be as quiet as possible in shallow lakes like red lake. LOW, different story.

If I'm on a bite in my snobear and it quits.... Ill start the engine and let it run... often restarts the bite.  My guess is when the other guy started his generator the fish went over to him..

He wasn't catching anything that day until he put the generator in the bed of his truck.  It was a shallow lake with very clear water.

Possibley with very clear water the fish are already sensitive, and the sound of the generator added to an already spooky fish.
