Took a drive around the lake about 3:30 this afternoon. Looked like it was totally locked up as far as I could tell. Went from lots of water Thursday to some water Friday to locked up today. Saw one person ice fishing. He was out about 100 feet from shore and a little right of the 145th Ave access to Manthey's Bay.  :happy1:

About four inches of ice by my place. See more people starting to move around on the ice. Several are walking out from Battle Point. Needs to get a little cooler so we can get the ice thickness going. All  hail the cold gods.

Lots of people out and about. A few small permanents have been pulled out with atv's between the Moon Bar rock pile and Battle Point. Today I have found around 6 inches of ice every where I have been where it is snow covered. Found a couple of spots where it was 7 inches where the ice was bare or had very little snow cover. Haven't been over to Manthey's Bay since last week so not sure how things are going there. There is about 3-4 inches of snow on the ice, some areas less. Didn't find any slush in the area I traveled so the snow didn't hurt anything as far as I could tell.

Ice has finally made it to 12.5 inches. Put the wheel house out today.  :happy1: I like to have 12 inches before I bring it out. Glad for that cause the old portable was really starting to get the best of this old body.
