Fishing Report Lakes Oahe/Sharpe Pierre area for Aug 29, 30th, 31th 2015

I finished the month out with a great bunch of guys ramrodded by Ryan Webb of Denison Iowa. The Aspinwall co-op from Aspinwall Iowa got their possession limits of real nice 18 inch average size walleye along with some catfish Northern and smallmouth bass. Guides Dave Scott and John helped me with this group and we all had fun. We fished both Oahe and Sharpe working hard for the fish but got all they could have fishing in around 15 fow to 30 fow on Oahe and around 10 fow on Sharpe. We caught the fish using Bouncers/crawler/gulp or bouncer/spinners. This bunch of guys had been around fishing for a long time so they all new how to catch the fish helping us guides out. Another example of a CO-OP spending dollars on a fishing trip as a reward for good work. I along with the other guides really appreciate these trips and hope to see these guys again. Fishing on both lake's can be tough for folks that do not know the lakes but most experienced anglers that know the lakes are doing limits. Lots of Salmon boats out trying for another record salmon but I am hearing that it is not a numbers thing. Mostly a chance to get a big fish. Cat fishing for big cats is very good now especially on Sharpe. Check out the size on my pictures page for the last two or 3 trips. Hot weather is around so plenty of water and fly spray help make a safer and better trip.
