Fishing remains excellent.  Walleyes are being caught trolling with crankbaits, pulling spinners and jigging. Fish being caught this week in 28-30' in front of Pine Island, off of Long Point and south of Garden Island.  Use gold, pink and glow colors most productive. Trollers are targeting areas in 28-32'. Trollers pulling in lots of trophy walleyes.

On the Rainy River, sturgeon active in numerous holes from Baudette to Clementson. Anchor still fish the bottom using a 3 oz no-roll sinker, 5/0 circle hook and gob of crawlers. Many saugers being caught by sturgeon anglers.  Most anglers targeting walleyes evenings.  Try 18-20 feet using gold or chartreuse colors with minnows.

Up at the NW Angle, walleyes active between Garden Island and Little Oak Island.  Try 16-24' over rocky areas and 26-30' off reefs and island points. Anglers boating into Ontario waters are finding walleyes in 22-30' in neck down areas and off of points.  Muskies still being found shallow. Crappie bite best around structure jigging with a minnow 24-28 feet.
