  Have you seen what they are doing with snowmobiles now days?  Wow..Very high jumps and backwards loops.  The machines don't hardly look like snowmobiles.  These guys definantly good athelets.  I still like the old crosscountry races like they had years ago...

Was watching the sno cross the other night. The announcer said that the motocross guys that were crossing over in the winter were having a hard time handling the heavier machines. It never dawned on me that some guys who races the dirt bikes were racing sleds too, until the announcer mentioned it.

  Yes, the I-500  from Winnepeg to St. Paul was the big race of the year.  It was fun to see the sleds come through our area, some were missing a ski or maybe a hood.  Some would really be banged up from hitting a tree or a chicken house etc!!!  Then the manufacturers would back many drivers to see if their brand would win the race.  I remember when John Deere tried to buy the race.  They would give each driver some amount of money just to enter the race with a John Deere sled.  There were as many Deeres in the race as all the other brands!  Its fun to think back on those times.
