Public advised to be careful: Injured wolf spotted again in Baxter

Feb 23, 2016    at 1:54 p.m.

 :police: ......
Law enforcement is advising the public to stay away from an injured wolf that has been spotted in the Brainerd area.

Baxter Assistant Police Chief Russ Wicklund said police are not tracking the wolf, but the DNR has been advised that there is an injured wolf in the area.

Forestview Middle School sixth-grader Lexi McElfresh took photographs :happy1: after she saw the injured wolf around 8 a.m. Monday on her way to school. She stated in an email that the wolf was standing on the walking trail on the north side of Mapleton Road, just east of the school and it was limping and injured.
