The Smallmouth bass action on Vermilion is really heating up. We are catching them on a number of presentations right now including, Spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, crankbaits, topwaters and soft plastics.
The shoreline rubble, boulders, shallow points, docks, reeds and wood are all hot locations right now. This will be some of the best action of the summer and it should last well into late June. ;)

The Smallmouth bass action is getting better and better. The new moon will most likely get a lot of females up on the beds this week. Still catching most of my fish on fast moving horizontal baits. There are times when a jig or soft plastics fished slower will be the ticket however right now the fast moving presentations are the way to go. Rocks, docks, points, wood, reeds, shallow boulder flats and inshore humps are all producing good numbers of fish.  ;)
