I have been thinking of buying a generator for a few years now. I have a Dewalt 4300 with wheels and the hoist bracket etc.  Heavy duty and works great.  BUT not made for camping when quiet is king.  I am going to sell it if anyone is interested.  Ok what I am wondering is if anyone out there has bought one of those Powerhouse blue generators from Northern?  I have read their reviews for a couple of years now and they seem to have turned out to be a great genny.  They have copper windings unlike Yammy and Honda with aluminum windings.  They also have a fuel shutoff which is kind of nice.  The cords to hook two up together are free vs. $99 for Honda.  AND the are usually $599 and now are only $569 with free shipping.  2 year warranty.  I am so close to ordering one of these but sure would like to hear from a live person who actually has one.

I don't know anything about the blue generator from Northern, however, I do have a $20 off coupon if you spend $100.

I've had my Honda 2000 now going on 8 years.   It has never let me down anywhere.   The coldest days ice fishing,  a power outage a few years ago that last 4 days, and now tonight's power outage.   I do believe I am someone who takes pretty good care of his stuff but will admit I neglect this at times.  I hadn't done anything with this since January.   Went out and it stayed on the 3rd pull.   If the power hasn't came back on by the morning I will fill the tank and proceed to plug in 3 chest freezers and the current 2 refrigerators.  If we had more rain I'd  also be plugging in the sump pump.   Best part is I don't even here it running outside of the garage and I have the windows open in the house because a nice cool breeze is coming in.   Sometimes things cost more for a reason sometimes they cost more because of the name.   In this case I personally think it's the quality.

Cant help you with That particular generater BUT have you figured out what kind of a wattage supply you need to run every thing in yer camper?
if I remember right the honda Db level is 59Dbs and the one yer lookin at is 66Dbs Thats fairly loud
Heres my read at the end.I bought a larger gen for power failors a small 16.6 amp out put dont make it.It didnt run the old camper with air either! SO I have one now with a Robin 9HP engine that puts out 61Dbs, I can run it in the lot nextdoor to clean out a well and have to go over to make sure it is running. The extra amperage sure helps!!

Copy/Paste didnt work! An I closed the site

We went by L&M Fleet in Bemidji on my way to my brothers for the 4th.  Well you know how this goes.  They had the companion with the 30 amp plug in on sale for $999.  I looked at them and 2 of them had prices on them for $899.  ???   I said I will take that one.  The lady gasped and said we put the wrong price on those two.  Well nice or maybe dumb me I let her manager talk me into splitting it.  I got the Companion 2000EU for $949.  They put oil in it started it up and the guy in the shop showed me how to maintain everything on it too.  They had 6 people in front of me and did me first since I split the Hundo with them. I didn't need it when at my brothers since we were plugged into his power.  Once in awhile we just started it and sat and looked at it with a cocktail in our hands and laughed our asses off.  Here we were all sitting listening to a Genny that was running and not even plugged in.  AND thanks boar for the offer but I thought I may as well get a new one with a warranty.  I appreciate it though.
