Been working on this fall plot for about a month now. It's a area where there's never been crops or a plot before so sod was thick. Mowed the grass a couple times then sprayed it mowed then sprayed again. Rented a discer and spent about 5 hours on the tractor total trying to disc it up. Got most of it to turn up. Hind sight should of racked the grass after I chopped it the first time. Planted winter oats and clover. Pulled the disc and had the seeder behind it. Went a little thick on the seed. It's about a half acre in total size and used enough seed for 3/4 a acre. Then used a packer to pack it down into the soil. Work in progress it will probably take another year for me to get it totally worked up next spring.
