Colin Kaepernick's 'pig' socks look like big diss of police.

  ...
Is Colin Kaepernick lauding police officers for their pride, integrity and guts via his sock game, or nah?

MORE: Worst of the Kap takes:

 :reporter; .....
Seems the 49ers quarterback has been wearing socks during practice the past three weeks that depict cops as "pigs." (Source: CBSSports.com)

The slang term is not one of endearment, despite how it can be spun positively (see the lead paragraph), and Kaepernick's public protest against police brutality and racial profiling makes his intent quite clear. :moon:

MORE: NFL execs on Kaepernick: 'F— that guy'

 :police: ......
The San Francisco police union is already angry with Kaepernick over the quarterback's refusal to stand for the national anthem before the team's exhibition last week, which was followed by his criticism of the men and women in blue. This ... isn't helpful. :banghead:

  .....
Kaepernick has not addressed or been asked about the socks, but given that he has dug in his heels (which are wrapped in those socks) on the police issue, it's not difficult to anticipate what his answer would be. :taz:

What an a$$. Even though he is protesting the police, he will be the first one to whine and cry that there is never an officer around when you need one.
if you kick me when I'm down you better pray I don't get up.

As a retired cop of 28 years, I'd like to ...wait, LOVE to kick the living s**t outta that piece of garbage, then use my baton to rearrange that hatchet beak of his. He has a right to his own opinions, but not when he represents an entire team...he's "on duty" during those games when he refuses to stand. I don't understand that. Anyone else in a job would do that, like the firefighter here that put a confederate flag on a fire truck in a parade, and was canned.. because he represented the department. He needs to be booted NOW. I'm so sick of this whining, crying, oppressed BLM crap I could barf. Repeatedly.     :puke:

Remember, BLM!!!!     BACON LOVERS MATTER!!

NFL execs: Kaepernick is a 'traitor,' hated as much as Rae Carruth!

 :coffee:
If Colin Kaepernick ends up getting released by the San Francisco 49ers, he may have an incredibly difficult time finding work elsewhere.

 :reporter; ......
Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report spoke with seven anonymous NFL executives, and the consensus among all of them is that their teams would never sign Kaepernick in the wake of his national anthem protest.

  .......
“I don’t want him anywhere near my team,” one front office executive said. “He’s a traitor.” :taz:

 :coffee: more......
“He has no respect for our country,” another exec told Freeman. “(Expletive) that guy.”

Each of the seven execs said he believes Kaepernick will never play in the NFL again if and when the 49ers cut the 28-year-old. Taking it a step further, one team official told Freeman he believes 90 to 95 percent of NFL front offices have blacklisted Kaepernick. That same exec said he cannot remember this much “collective dislike” for a player since Rae Carruth, who was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Carruth’s story, the former star wide receiver remains in jail after he was convicted of devising a plan to murder his pregnant girlfriend.

That seems a bit harsh. Many people feel Kaepernick’s decision to protest the national anthem is disrespectful, but he certainly doesn’t deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Carruth.

In any event, Kaepernick’s poor performance on the field last season, his injury history and the current controversy surrounding him will likely turn teams off. If the majority of the league feels as strongly as the executives Freeman interviewed — or this former NFL quarterback, for that matter — Kaepernick’s pro football days could be numbered.

How about them Vikings last nite! I didn't think Stave looked bad at all; woulda looked better/been more TD's maybe if TREADWELL coulda hung onto a ball. Wetherly looked danged good; did some great spot-on blocks so Pressley could make that 108 yd TD. Could be interesting next week....
