Today the guys in one of the houses had their limits of crappies and eyes after a lot of catch and release along with a few perch early this morning. They were off the lake by 11 AM

Another group had 2 crappies and close to limits of eyes.

I picked up 2 nice crappies before 6 AM. It was tough to find a walleye that I could keep - all 18"+

The crappies were biting good for about 2 hours and then the walleyes moved in.

It is brutally cold with the wind and minus temps (wind chill -28 right now) but the heaters in the houses are keeping up really good so far.
The wind died down a bit this morning and early afternoon but picked up again late afternoon. It looks like it is going to be a darn cold weekend with possible -40 wind chill.  Be safe and careful in this temp.
