Camping in Spearfish Canyon

We took the family camping at Timon's National Forest Campground in Spearfish Canyon. We did a little hiking and enjoyed some cool views.

So will any of this be included in the new "proposed State Park"?
Do you know the status of that at this point?

Yes, some of these would be part of the proposed new state park. It seems like an up hill battle for the state to make the canyon into a new state park. A lot of people are against it around here.
