The walleye fishing is still fair. One Group limited out and had about a 25-30 fish day in the 8-12 fow range. The other group in the 13 fow had a 15-20 fish day. We were searching for crappie, but the consistent cold weather is limiting mobility.
The gut buckets at JR's Corner Access had a fair amount of crappies. Jr was disappointed last night because he was two fish away from limiting out three days in a row. I think this is quite impressive considering he running the landing, plowing roads, tending bar and still has time to catch a limit of crappies.

The ice is quite thick. About 42 inches in the rough spots.

The pressure ridge has settled, and no bridges are needed

  This is good, I've been waiting for a report like that and just in time, next weekend we will be up to try our luck.
