So...you're saying there's a chance??? confused-3316.gif

I tend to view any news we got on Bridgewater as good news, as ever since day one of the injury the Vikings organization has been incredibly tight lipped about it. But various outlets have also had videos of Teddy running agilities, doing drills, dropping back and passing, etc...now all these videos he is appearing in a knee brace or wrap and no one has any idea how his body will handle contact football again (if ever) so I'm not holding my breath. BUT. It's nice to see at least the idea of Teddy 2 gloves in purple again isn't totally dead.

I sure like Teddy.  How can you not like him?  BUT I am worried about  his future as a football player.  He may surprise us.  It seems that the backpedalling a QB does and that kind of footwork would be hard on legs...

A testament to his likeability- Bridgewater still leads all Vikings in merch sales even after sitting out a year, and after last year he was number 35 overall in the NFL for merch sales. Pretty impressive for a guy who never saw the field last year!

I do worry whether he will get a fair shake in MN healthy or not. With Shurmur as our new OC, he may never get the nod even when healthy. Shurmur to me has had a mediocre to lackluster career as a play caller, and the only thing thats kept him on NFL payrolls is he is the biggest Bradford cheerleader ever. Thats how it was in St Louis and thats how it was in Philly. Both teams lost interest in Shurmur after they found out his "golden boy" Bradford really wasn't all that. NFL Football is all about ego in coaching. That's why coaches and managers draft a dud and insist on piddling away a year playing him, rather than admit they made the wrong call and picked a dud. Shurmur is gonna stick with Bradford come hell or high water. The scary part to me is Shurmur is looking for redemption (as is Bradford) and I feel he would rather run the Vikes into the ground behind Bradford than ditch out on his little golden pet.

I do think that the only saving grace is Teddy can honestly compete ability wise with Bradford in the offense we are running now without AP, the quick slants, shotgun passes, simple check downs...not like Bradfords out there slinging it like Rodgers. He's done an OK job with OK numbers behind a horrid O-Line and with lackluster receivers. Give the guy a big name WR and he might really pop off, but then in fairness Teddy has never had a big name WR to test his skills either.
