Morrison sheriff asks for public's help in theft.

 May 23, 2017

 :police: .....
STAPLES—The Morrison County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspects responsible for a boat motor theft that occurred at Staples Sports, off 320th street in Scandia Valley Township. tut_tut-3315.gif

 :coffee: ...
Sheriff Shawn Larsen stated the suspect or suspects cut through a chain linked fence between 3:24-4:13 a.m. Saturday. They left the scene with a 1995 30 HP Yamaha short shaft outboard motor, which they took from a boat that was located outside of the business. It appears they were picked up in an early 2000 model Chevy or GMC Yukon dark colored vehicle. The vehicle looks like it has large chrome rims. The suspect vehicle left northbound on Highway 10.

Anyone who has any information regarding the theft is asked to contact the sheriff's office at 320-632-9233.

Man that is a lot of risk for an old motor.  They went through some work to get it too.

Ya someone must have told them they would like that motor.  Being a short shaft and all.  OR maybe they don't even know what a short or long shaft motor is.
