Tying on ice lures

Do you tie your ice-fishing lures directly onto the line, or use a tiny Fas-snap, or maye a swivel? Do you think it impedes action if not a direct tie?  I use the tiny Fasnap faster's if I know I'm going to be swapping out a lot of differnt lures, due to slow bites. I feel a direct tie on is best; I'll put a tiny black barrel swivel on the line about 3' up, to help stop line twist if using a spinning reel. On my spool-type (Black betty, Schooley, etc) straight line reels, I just do a direct tie without the swivel. I do love the tiny Fas-snap....once ya can see to get the line thru it....

Depends on da lure. Some have split rings, some have just eye-lit. Depends where ya tie da knot on eye-lit for depth control. Spoons have nether so I use split ring and snap swivel for trollin. I prefer da less hardware da better. Less stuff ta catch on da weeds.

i use stainless swivel snaps on everything............they dont wanna bite then they can go pizz off!!!!!!!!!!!

I tie direct to a small barrel swivel then a fluorocarbon leader(4# usually, sometimes 2#) about 3' long.
