Early Season Notes As trips are starting up, we wanted to get in some updates and notes:
* Minnesota is not fully open. For example, restaurants and bars are not open for regular service, but some have take out food. Please be aware of what to expect in you are We are sad to report that a visitor died earlier this week when their canoe capsized. Please travel with caution. Table of temps and time leading to hypothermia
traveling to the BWCA. This is an evolving situation so please check into the COVID-19 Forum for updates.

* Second, please be mindful of other people's health and wear a mask when entering the public areas during your travels to and from the BWCA. Keep your hugging to family and trees only.
 
* Fire danger - Although the fireban has been lifted, the BWCA is very dry. Keep your fires small, :campfire: in control, and completely extinguished when unattended. :tut:
 
* Hypothermia - the water is very cold in the BWCA and will continue to be cold. :cold:
