CO Bret Grundmeier (Mora) pulled over a snowmobile clocked going over 70 miles per hours on a lake. The speeder informed CO Grundmeier that he had already received a speeding ticket from a different CO five minutes earlier! The speeding snowmobiler also claimed it was nearly impossible to drive under 50 miles per hour due to the snow packed conditions and because he couldn't really see the speedometer on the snowmobile very well. A second citation was issued.

how stupid can people be? ???

reminds me of a stop i made on a young man that had made one of those fast rolling stops. during the conversation with him about the bad stop he asked if i was going to give him a warning like all the other officers had. guess what.

Well just goes to show that your far better off to just keep the yap shut and listen.

While researching and talking with my attorney several years ago to fight a bogus ticket.
I learned that the officer in the field is ALL WAYS RIGHT!!

You can not argue any thing with them as they can write you up or haul you in just because they THINK your doing some thing illegal.

It is up to the Court to find you not guilty after the office writes you up.

And in 99.9% of the cases I studied, even if you get the ticket revoked or a no same or similar, you still have to pay Court costs!!

So in the long run, just smile and eat crow, pay the fine and Hope the insurance company doesn't find the ticket till the three year wait is up.

It will cost you less money and not use up your valuable vacation time to sit in a Court room watching drug users, drunk drivers, people with assult charges, women beaters, petty thief's, and people with gun related charges get off better than you did for driving over the posted speed limit.

Great advice Benny. You are more likely to get a break (if at all possible in your situation) if you are compliant and courteous with the law enforcement officer besides.

that is true OR i was going alittle over the speed limit and was nice to the officer :police: and honest with him and he gave me break so it just shows that if you do what you are told you will get a break in most cases
