2021 SD buck
I didn’t have much luck a week ago during our annual MN deer hunt. Then I was sick with a terrible cough and congestion for the past five days since returning from MN. With the South Dakota West River deer season ending tomorrow (Sunday the 28th) I was beginning to think I wouldn’t make it back out. I was feeling a little better this morning, so I decided to give it a try (with a pocket full of cough drops). I tried my best to hold back coughs. I wasn’t successful, I coughed three different times during the first hour in my blind. I was getting frustrated with myself so I decided to walk and stalk. The decision paid off, I jumped up a buck and doe at a bottom of a ravine. I got a good shot off on the buck and am very happy with the results. My largest SD buck in the 15 years I have lived out here.

Congrats,hard to beat a corn fed south dakota buck....your lucky your county was open,my area was shut down due to EHD,,,again,found 7 dead white tail deer on my property pheasant hunting neighbor found 14 on his opening day pheasant hunting.,sad to see ...
