Yes he could. Saw him at the Freeborn Co. Fair many moons ago. I thought he was just the guy I'd seen on Hee Haw. Played a mean guitar and the fiddle that nite too. Unbelievably talented!  :happy1:

I was looking at my utube channel, and he was on the feed for some reason. Just brought back memories of watching heehaw...man I loved that show  :rotflmao:

In 1971 into 1972 we lived on the north side of the street that fair grounds was on.  Our yard was on a fairway of Greenlee Golf Course.  I worked there in 1971 - 1972.  After work I would take a cart into our backyard and get a sandwich and something to drink and go golf.  Loved doing that was planning on a career in it but pay is lousy even at big courses.  Were you there in those years?

'bout a month back, I spent a whole evening cruising from one YouTube clip to the next...

Roy Clark, Glen Campbell, Chet Atkins, and to whoever else I thought was interesting in the suggested clips feed.

Then I ran across these clips of Les Paul holding court in a small night club in New York City with headline players. 

Start with ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons and go from there.

Nope, didn't arrive until '85. I don't play golf but I know where the course is. Been to several catered events there. Showed critters at the Freeborn Co. Fair for a few years. Not much competition in our breed so went to only state and national level shows since then. Still like to go Freeborn Co. Fair for the food and entertainment tho. Know the guy in charge of entertainment. He does one heckuva job! :happy1:
