Rem 700 vs Win 70

Which way do you guys lean?

I’m partial to Rem 700 cause that’s what I own and it shoots absolutely amazing…granted it was bought prior to all their twisted barrel fiascos.

My first deer rifle was an old Winchester Model 1894.  I still love that gun.  But when I started blowing smoke about buying myself a proper scoped, bolt action rifle, my dad got me a Model 70.  I reckon he thought I'd like it if he got me another Winchester.  Certainly he was correct at the time.  Despite being built in the early 80s, it is a great looking rifle.  I topped off with a Leopold 2.5x7 and have been killing deer with it ever since.

When it came time to get my daughter a deer rifle, I opted for a compact, short action Remington Model Seven in .243, which she loves.
