With the economy where it is, people are holding back from spending money.  But they are exchanging services and goods using the barter system.  We've got alot of members here at MNO, so this could really pay off for many folks!  I call this the MNO Exchange

Even if you're out of work, but possess skills or knowledge that others can benefit from, place your ad here!  You just never know what kind of deal you could strike up!  :happy1:

Say you primarily fish Walleye, and want to try your hand at Musky Fishing.  You post an ad explaining you'd like to swap fishing trips with someone who would like to catch Walleye.

Here's an example of an ad:

Name                                                                  Joe MNO
Location                                                              Indaharta, Minnesota
Service or item offered for exchange                     Day of fishing for Walleye
Service or item wanted in exchange                      Day of Musky Fishing
Contact info.                                                        Pm me here at MNO

Or maybe you've got room in your boat for a fishing partner?  The possibilities are pretty much endless.

Great idea Woody,
I exchanged a deer hunt for an antelope hunt with a fellow last year and not only had a good hunt but gained a new friend along with the deal.

I have to be honest, a very good friend asked me why MNO doesn't have such a board.  So I made a thread.  If it gets to be popular, a board may be in order.  I figured with the economy in the crapper like it is, you have more people are bartering-so why not here as well?!  We all have different backgrounds and skills.

Swapping hunts would be a fun thing!  And the friendships gained-that's just a bonus!   :toast:

well, might as well try this out

I do some web design (nothing too fancy, still a student)
looking for small engine repair training (chainsaws, lawn mowers, etc) or looking for chainsaws in rought shape to practice on.
PM me here, or email me

basically, I enjoy tinkering with small engines, but tend to change my mind or get bored pretty quickly so don't want to invest any money into buying chainsaws that might get thrown away if I break them too badly or get bored with engine repair.
This is the internet, please remain calm.  I mean you no harm...

Mankato area.
Would like to try to catch a few large Muskie's, Salmon on Lake Superior, or Lake trout.
To exchange I would be willing to guide (not professionally) a pheasant hunt on private land in South Dakota.

I like this idea. We tried it once b4 but it was just swapping hunts, not services or anything.

I hope this post does not  break any rules.  Long story short, I design fishing lures.  Salt and fresh water.  Ice and hard water.  I no longer have time to field test my stuff.    If you would be interested in trying a couple free ones- just let me know what you think.  They suck or they work.  All I need to know is where you are fishing, species, what colors work best for you, and how heavy a jig you are looking for.  If they don't work for you tell me-you can post it here.  If they do send me a pic or 2.  No cost to you other than feedback.

Inventory/marketing manager by day.
Rochester, Mn, spend about 10 weekends around the Aitkin lakes area during the late summer/fall time.

Proficient in; fly tying, jig making, trout fishing all over southeastern mn, marketing aspects/finance. Could point/show anyone the right direction/places to catch some fish of the rainbow/brown/brook variety and the places to camp. Also have about 6 years of knowledge and topo maps of Montana for anyone who is interested in hunting elk/mule deer/prarie rats(antelope), along with numerous public land information (mainly bowhunting as the rifle seasons get pretty thick with locals).

Looking more or less for a information swap due to the proximity of my location compared to everyone else.

I received my fishing lures today and they look fantastic.  A couple of lures I have never seen before look promising.  I really can't wait to try those real small ones for some panfish.

I Thankest thou for the feedback.  The result have been overwhelming.  I loved the pics and hoping for more.  I do have to stop the offer because I would like to catch up.    These will soon be availabe at a bait shop in western Mn.    (wildlifeminnesota) Thanks again for the fantastic pics.  I hope others will follow up. Anyone that has contacted me up to this point will receive their jigs.  These are kind of labor intensive and I am the labor with a day job so please be patient.  Thanks so much.  Anyone providing feedback moves to the head of the line.  Positive or negative.  I do have saltwater versions available if anyone is going of shore this winter.  Again feedback is all I ask.  Pics tell the story.  Thanks for your follow up --wildlife minnesota and general.  I hope this comes out right.  I am no messsage board wiz.

Scott, I received the sample jigs today. That was very generous of you. I can see lots of work goes into making them. They're sure unique, and I know they're gonna be killers. I really love those cannonballs, and the way you bend the hooks on the ants will increase hooking percentages for sure. Those are great looking jigs, I can't wait to give them a try, and I'm sure I'll be buying plenty more from your retailers. I'll post pics of the catch when I get time to use them, hopefully soon. thanks again, John

Update.... heres a picture of a nice crappie. 15 of these (all 12 to 15") fell to this ant in 1 hr this evening. Pics from cell phone, so not the best. But thats a Great jig Scott! thanks
