Computer problems

I have had problems with my computer for the past couple of weeks.  When I type, some of the letters get skipped and I don't know wht the problem is, I know it's not the keyboard because I replaced it with a different one.  Any suggestons?  Also, Isn't there a website where you can download free software to run a scan on your computer
