I thought it would be fun to share your most memorable ice  fishing story.  be it funny  or sad   or the big one  or small.
i hope you all know it is going to  be in the 90's  and i thought a little hard water talk may help all of us out and feel a little cooler.

I HAVE ONLY BEEN TWICE. so all i have is two  storyand i already posted one .
It was x-mas  of 2002 . My family and i traveled here from illinois for the holidays . My brother in-law asked me if i wanted to go ice fishing. I said  sure . So off we went .We headed  up to breezy point  were his business partner had been for a week already. Anyway  we headed out during the day  to use some tip ups . We drilled the  holes  set the rigs  and waited. The first one starting wagging the flag  bout an hour after we set it up .  Then the other flags started wagging . We had four sets   set up.  We missed several  and they landed a few crappie and an eye . Well ....... What makes this story so good is wht happened .

It was warm . Way above normal. We looked off in the distance   and the shore disapeared  . Before we knew it  we were in the thickest fog i have ever been in. What makes it bad   is  that  folks on pelican  spear, as well , thru the ice and if all of you are not fimiliar with this style  they  cut very large holes in the ice . Well we had to get back to the cabin  without falling into  one of the spear holes  . The only refrence we had  was the tracks  from our sled  in the snow. Talk about a trying hour and a half  of walking. Well we made it back  and had some lasting memories  of the fog.

The bottom line is you don't have to support your fellow hunter's choice of weapon but you do have to support your fellow hunter and his right to have that choice !!!!!!!!
