I hate seeing my kids get hurt (falling down, skinning a knee).  Both my boys have had stiches multiple times.

My biggest fear (and joy) is coming in about 3 weeks. My first child. Somehow I don't think she will be able to be put in the kennel when I want to go out for a beer  ;D.

Snakes are nasty slithery creachures.  Also don't like the really steep stairs like in stadiums.  I walk down em with my feet sideways so I don't go tumblin down and get launched over the rail.  Now a snake on steep stairs -- I might just have a heart attack.

Mine would have to be something bad happening to my son or wife as well...or something happening to me that leaves my family in a bad situation without me. I am out on the roads and highways 13 1/2 hours a day for my job in all sorts of weather conditions and with all kinds of idiots to avoid...

Mine would be running out of beer on a Sunday.
My initial response was to sue her for defamation of character, but then I realized that I had no character.

I have learned to conquer all that makes me tremble. Snakes make me jump a bit. Hieght's that are over 30 feet make me a bit nervous. It is a given that you fear for your family. I'm not afraid of dieing just hope it doesn't happen anytime soon. Have to work Sunday evenings so drinking beer is out anyways.

I'll get back to you on this one.

Being all crippled up in a nursing home when I get old.  No hunting or such or being able to experience nature at its finest, that is not a pleasant thought at all....

I hate Mice! I have learned to co-exist with bugs of all sorts as they seem to sneak into my house constantly nowadays. Luckily I have no Mice!

One morning about 9 years ago I was living with a gf. Something woke me at about 4 in the am. At the time we had a bed on the floor and laying there with my eyes open I could see a mouse sitting on top of a shelf where I kept some food. That lasted about 2 seconds. I woke her up and we left. Made the hour drive to Bozeman and had breakfast at Perkins ;)

Besides that I have many little fears...that are pretty entertaining. How about seeing a ghost while in your deer stand? Next time your in there and its getting dark or the sun is just coming up imagine a couple ghost kids in really old fashioned clothes with pale skin just wandering aimlessly through the woods. Or how about just some random guy or ghost watching you from a distance in the woods. Maybe aliens out there?? How about getting pounced on by a cougar! Or a wolf! I could go on and on.... >:D

I get off work at 12am usually and my drive home is about 40 minutes. When I drive I listen to am1500. They are always talking about wild things on there. Some time it creeps me out.

Anyways...no I am not paranoid. I just like to try and spook myself ;D

guythathunts,

I also loath spiders.  I have experienced your worst nightmare.  In an old house that I rented the basement from, I was laying in bed.  Right at that point when you are between consciousness and sleep.  That's when horror happened.  I felt an insect somehow enter my ear (I later realized a ceiling web decent into my gaping ear canal allowed this creepy crawly to enter my ear without crawling up my neck to get there).  I casually felt the "tickle" and being half alseep grabbed at my ear canal and pulled out said intruder, only to feel the sting of a biting spider.  OUCH!  Now I am not a small man, I  EXPLODED out of bed as if I just rolled onto the cold wet spot while "throwing" away said spider in the dark away from mt crevices and openings.  Quite disturbing.  Needless to say, it took some time to fall back into a slumber.

I have a buddy (yeah I know its surprizing) that listens to AM1500 Coast to Coast all the time and he seriously believes in ghosts, aliens, giants, and most of all -- Big Foot.  He wants to go on a big foot hunt out west some day.  Now Im not sayin Im right and he's wrong but he NEVER stops yappin about this stuff.  One day I made up a ghost story about my house and really got him goin.  Never fessed up and now Im thinkin its time for round 2.  What a jerk, hey?   :ROTFLMAO:

By the way, his greatest fear is spiders.  I like to print articles of flying spiders for him.  Im gonna burn for this stuff aren't I?  ::hittingself::

The bottom line is you don't have to support your fellow hunter's choice of weapon but you do have to support your fellow hunter and his right to have that choice !!!!!!!!
