It sure is nice to be back at it again 8)

I went up Friday and came back today. I have vacation for the next week so I will be heading back up tomorrow morning and there until the 21st. Should be a good week. I fished all weekend but didn't leave the dock! ::cheers:: If ya know what I mean...opener is more of a party than anything. I don't want all the yahoos seeing where I fish anyway ;D Just kidding but I really didn't leave the dock. We fished on and off the whole weekend starting at midnight on Friday! That night we caught about 4 walleyes. The best part of the night was catching a giant smallie! This fish easily went over 20inches. I have caught many before and this was the biggest I have ever handled....ok actually my buddy caught it but no lie on the size! I was lucky enough to catch the biggest walleye that I have ever seen but I was unlucky enough to loose it at the dock! I have been replaying this in my head over and over and over!!! She was big and idiot me forgot the net at the house! Oh well. I will get her again someday, hopefully. The fishing was pretty steady all weekend, with a lot of nice Northern being caught and just as many walleyes over the 20inch mark and below it. The highlight was on Saturday evening when I witnessed a 27 inch double. They were twins! That was pretty cool. Today we caught some eaters and nothing over. Overall it was a good weekend off the dock! Looking forward to head up again in the am. I have my pics on my laptop and will try and post a couple tomorrow.

We were fishing in 10 feet of water and using slip bobbers and leeches.

Great report Flockie, glad to see you had a great opener!  It's about time you got on here ;D.  From what I heard, you should blame your brother for not having a net with you........ :whistling:

Well I hit the dock again today for about an hour. I love the dock! A little slower as I only caught 2. Missed a few bites, maybe perch? The 2 I did get were nice 17 and 18 inch fish. Should be a good week. Heading out in a bit.

Too many pictures and not enough time. I will try and get back on again but would rather spend my time on the lake ;D I will be up here until next Tuesday. Fishing is has been consistent since opener.

Here are some pics from the first day.
