Hare's Ear Nymph was the ticket yesterday.
I got out and tested the new fly rod yesterday and all I can say is "what a blast". I couldn't get anything to go on top water, so I switched over to a nymph and it was fish on almost every cast.
I didn't catch anything to write home about, but I got some good practice in. The fly rod has a permanent location in the boat now.
